Warranty Terms & Conditions

Before purchasing any product from Byte City BD, please read the following warranty terms carefully. By making a purchase, you agree to abide by these terms.

Manufacturer’s Warranty:
    • All warranties provided at the time of sale are manufacturer warranties. The responsibility for these warranties lies with the manufacturer and the original brand. Each brand specifies its warranty terms and conditions on their respective websites.
    • Byte City BD acts as a seller and assists in enforcing the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
    • We adhere to both international and Bangladesh warranty policies for all products.
Warranty Coverage:
    • Not all products come with a warranty. Only those declared by the parent company are covered.
    • Laptop warranties range from 1 to 3 years depending on the brand and model, with batteries and adapters covered for only 1 year.
Defective Products:
    • If a product under warranty is found defective, it will be repaired or replaced immediately depending on the product type.
    • If an exact replacement is unavailable, an equivalent product from the stock may be provided.
    • If the product is unrepairable and no equivalent is available, it will be replaced with a superior product, with price adjustments if necessary.
Service Limitations:
    • Byte City BD is not responsible for any software or data loss during product use or service.
    • Service time for warranty repairs can vary from 5-7 days up to 35-40 days or more, depending on parts availability.
    • Computer setup and customized operating systems at the time of sale are not covered under warranty.
Additional Charges:
    • Services outside the warranty scope may incur fees, subject to buyer consent.
    • If parts need to be changed or added during service warranty, the buyer can either provide them or pay in advance for Byte City BD to procure them.
Warranty Claim Process:
    • Warranty claims should be made at least 25 days before expiry.
    • Send the warranty product to us 25 days before the warranty period ends, as international shipping time may be required.

Conditions That Void the Warranty:

  • Damage from careless use such as water exposure, breakage, burns, or deep scratches.
  • Removal or damage of the product’s serial number or sticker.
  • Installing a different operating system or dual-booting an Apple device.
  • Warranty receipt loss, unless accompanied by purchase proof.

Manufacturer’s General Warranty Terms:

  • Only products with declared warranty periods on Byte City BD’s invoice are covered. Packaging notes do not constitute warranty terms.
  • Lifetime warranty benefits are valid as long as the product is in production. Once discontinued, a 1-year warranty from the purchase date applies.
  • Defects from careless use are not covered.
  • Byte City BD does not set passwords or security codes; the buyer is responsible for BIOS passwords.
  • Free gift items are not covered under warranty.
  • Fees may apply for non-warranty services, subject to buyer agreement.
  • Warranty claims are not accepted for monitors with 1-3 dots; claims can be made if there are 4 or more dots.
  • Scratches on the monitor/display are not covered.
  • Cleaning services are not free of charge.
