Lenovo Legion 5 15AGP11 R7 AI 450 RTX 5060 Review: Vivid Visuals with Real Upgrade Room

The Lenovo Legion 5 15AGP11 R7 AI 450 RTX 5060 pairs an AMD Ryzen AI 7 450 processor with an RTX 5060 8GB GPU and a 165Hz OLED display, built for gamers who want strong 1440p-class performance today and genuine room to upgrade memory and storage later.

Display

The 15.3 inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) OLED panel runs at 165Hz with 1000 nits of peak brightness (500 nits typical), 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage, Dolby Vision, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000, and NVIDIA G-SYNC support. That combination delivers deep contrast and tear-free, fluid motion, a genuinely strong display for a laptop in this class.

Gaming Performance

At the core is the AMD Ryzen AI 7 450 processor, an 8 core, 16 thread chip running between 2.0GHz and 5.1GHz with 16MB of L3 cache and an integrated AMD Ryzen AI NPU rated up to 16 TOPS. Paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 GPU, boosting to 2497MHz at up to 115W with 572 AI TOPS, this combination comfortably handles current games at 1440p with high settings. 16GB of DDR5-5600 RAM keeps gameplay and background tasks running smoothly, and the 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD offers fast load times for games and applications.

Battery, Ports and Upgrade Room

An 80Whr battery paired with a 245W adapter reflects the power this RTX 5060 configuration draws under load. What stands out here is genuine upgradeability: the RAM sits across two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 32GB total, and storage uses two M.2 2242 slots each supporting up to 2TB, meaning buyers can grow both well beyond the base configuration later. Connectivity includes two USB4 Type-C ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4, three USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1 with 8K output, Gigabit Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 7.

Design, Audio and Build

Finished in Eclipse Black, the chassis includes a 1-zone RGB backlit keyboard, audio tuned by HARMAN with Nahimic enhancement, and a 5MP webcam with an electronic shutter. At a starting weight of 1.9kg, it’s a genuinely well-equipped mid-size gaming laptop.
